The Greater Miami Youth Symphony Orchestra performs a variety of patriotic American selections. The youth symphony also performs with Elizabeth Caballero of Florida Grand Opera. Boy Scouts will begin selling hamburgers and hot dogs at 6 p.m. Sunday with fireworks at 9 p.m., which are set off on the country club driving range visible from the pool deck of Miami Shores Aquatic Center, 10200 Biscayne Blvd.; admission is $6 for guests of residents; $4 residents.
MIAMI SPRINGS
Parade steps off at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Rec Center at 1401 Westward Dr. to Miami Springs Golf and Country Club, 650 Curtiss Pkwy. Also includes a classic car show in the Miami Springs' Circle. The celebration continues with fireworks at the golf course at dusk on Sunday.
MICCOSUKEE 4th of JULY CELEBRATION
Opens 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday with music at 5 p.m. by KC and The Sunshine Band and El Gran Combo at 9 p.m. on Saturday and Ghost of Gloria at 8 p.m. on Sunday.
